So I figured that, since all the artists that anyone else might actually know from that music meme I posted the other day have been guessed already, I should give you guys the answers to the rest of them. I've edited them into that post, so click here if you want closure and/or some more good free music.

1) Open your top 25 most played songs on iTunes.
2) Post pictures of each band.
3) Once the band has been guessed, edit with an upload of the song! This way we can ALL SHARE THE LOVE!

BUT, I've got a couple of issues, here. Unlike most people, I listen to albums rather that songs. So my top played list would include, like, two artists in the top 25. So what I've decided to do is just use my favorite song from each album, I think. The second issue is that I have no fucking idea how to go about uploading a song. I'll see if the FAQs can help me out with this, but I make no promises. However, in this backwards way, I think I can play. So let's get on with it, shall we?

ETA: Fear not, I've learned how to upload the songs thanks to the diligent tutelage of both cookie_simone and squeegee_burble. Now the only issues I have are that one of my albums comes from the iTunes store and is unsharable (but I think I've found a Rhapsody version of it, if anyone has any free-plays left) and that one of my entries does not actually seem to be on my computer. I guess I stream it? Oh well—I'm sure I can find a link to it somewhere. But we'll just have to deal with these issues once they arise.

So barkinmad asked me to do this. And do it I shall. But, like K, I'm changing the format to suit my purposes.

This is how it's supposed to go:

1. list your top five favorite musical artists.
2. list your top five favorite songs from each artist.
3. tag five people to do the same.

But most of the people on my flist have already been tagged with this. So, I figured, what if I do eight songs by eight of my favorite artists? That has to make up for ignoring step 3, right? Okay, so it also means ignoring steps 1 and 2, but this is my LJ—I can do as I please. Plus, if you want to do this meme, go ahead! I'm not stopping you.

( Now I'm not going to include any YouTubings, but I will interject about why I like a song or an artist, as I see fit. So there's that. )

Another note: Most of the time, I find ranking my favorites (for any category) very difficult, because I like different things for different reasons. And some reasons are not necessarily better than others—they're just different. So I literally drew these eight artists out of a hat containing roughly twenty of 'em. As for the songs, I just took the first eight I could think of that I really liked. They aren't necessarily in order of how much I like them. That's the important thing to keep in mind.
